New Stamp.

Actually, this is a stamp that I have had for well over a year I believe.  And have never inked it up till now.  There is something kinda gross and obscene about that I believe.  I mean, really, should I REALLY have a stamp that I haven't had time to ink up for over a year.  And I am sure that there are many more like me out there.  You see a stamp that YOU GOT TO HAVE and then you get it and somehow it doesn't find it's "time in the ink" on your desk.  Why don't we crafter's just use what we have and only buy when we are totally sure that we are going to use the new item immeadiately!  We don't do this I believe because we truly have an illness......a totally stamping/scrapping/crafting addiction!  Well, at least I know I do and will so own up to it!  So, yeah, I have had this stamp for-ev-er and just this week pulled it out to play with.  And found that I actually really like it.....thought that it might be too difficult to color and put into a card but I am really pleased with how this card turned out.  It is different colors for me and I seem to be trying different color combos with my last few cards.  I am liking the freshness that a different arrangement of colors and layout brings to my mind and think that I will have to make the deliberate choice to try something different more often!  This stamp is LaBlanche and the card is not stamped inside with a sentiment yet as I am not sure who I will be sending it to at this time.  Here is my card...

The stamp is LaBlanche and the dies are Spellbinders.  The embossing folder is also Spellbinder's....their basketweave one and this is a folder that I can see myself using over and over.  I have tried it on several different colors of card stock including white and I always love how it looks.  I think it is a nice bit of texture to a card base with out being too distracting.  I also am experimenting more with cutting out frames with dies to "reverse mat" images.  I find this works well for some images that just seem to "end".....it gives them more of a border than when I traditionally mat them.  Anyways, it is a brisk 11 degrees here in Wisconsin on the second day of Spring....my son has ceased to wear a winter coat in protest of the temps I believe. He just wears a sweatshirt. Oh to be 17 again.  I am wearing my parka. Ta-ta for now and thank you for stopping by!

Be well,
Sheila

I confess! I too have uninked stamps. I must remedy that! Love the way you colored this. Glad you got it out!

As usual Sheila, a gorgeous card. Love La Blanche stamps and need to use them more.... have a few that have only been inked just the once!

I am guilty, too! Truly have more than enough stamps to last my lifetime, but seem to always be able to justify buying more--LOL! You new card is really lovely. It is fun to try new color combos--sometimes they become a new favorite. Stay warm--I thought it was cold here, but it'd be a heat wave to you!

Guilty, here! Too many non-inked beauties. And thanks for turning me on to this company - so unique. This is so delicate and love the paring of the beautifully colored (you are a master!) image with the ribbon. Wish I could bundle you up some of our sunshine. Happy Easter, Sheila!

I must not own that many stamps (snort) as I am pretty sure all of mine have seen ink. Although I am guilty of only inking some of them up once or twice & not used them since. Gorgeous card Sheila.

Your card is stunning, Sheila! I love the vibrancy and so beautifully stamped, too.
I also have many un-inked stamps. The majority are on wood and probably no longer available. I am thinking of taking them off the wood, which is sacrilege, but they are taking up so much space!
I hope you are enjoying a lovely Easter xx
