And an ace....

or rather one card.  I had a little time yesterday to assemble an image I had into a little birthday card.  The image is a Whippersnapper Designs stamp that I paired with a birthday sentiment.  I went with softer colors on this card  and I like how it turned out.  Pretty easy!

Now I am off to pick up my middle child from college in Madison for her spring break.  It will be nice to have her home.  She is has Type 1 diabetes and has been hit hard with mono for the last month and 1/2 but has wanted to handle it all on her own.....which has been super hard on her mother!  So she has stayed in school through sickness and managed her health care, doctor visits and college classes as well as mid terms. Although, I will admit that she has done a great job of taking care of herself.  I will be happy to have her home to pamper though...

Finally, thank you to everyone who left me such kind messages.  I really appreciate it and hope to be able to return the favor in the next day or two.  I have been surfing but not commenting due to time constraints.  But, everywhere I visit the work has been amazing!

Be well,
Sheila

I love those Whipper Snapper designs, aren't they so fun? Your birthday card is totally adorable...love the shiny glittery accents on the gifts!

Good luck picking up your daughter...I hope she gets lots of rest and recovers fully over her spring break. (The same thing happened to me my freshman year of college...mono, midterms, away from home, etc. Not easy!) Give her lots of pampering and love, she'll be better in no time!

Wow, you should be so happy that your daughter is taking it all on herself, Sheila! She certainly sounds like an independent one! Good for her. I do know how hard it is though - with the diabetes. You never stop worrying! I'm the same way with my son.

Love your adorable card! Fabulous coloring as always! Enjoy the time with your daughter! :)

Love this sweetie-pie, Sheila. Thanks for introducing me to the WS design family from your own WI. Love them. So happy to hear that your middle daughter is coming home for break - that is a good thing for both of you. No worries about blog updates - there should be no expectations. Enjoy your spring break visit.
