April Showers.....

bring May flowers.  Or, at least that's what this image suggests to me ;-D  This cute little WSD image is so happy and fun that it made me smile when I was in the store and I bought it on the spot.  Kinda rare for me as I usually am not toooo much of a impulse buyer when it comes to stamps.  Snort!  Anyways, she was really fun to color although I will readily admit that the finished colored version is not what I started out with in mind.  But, one of my goals this year in crafting and in life in general is too loosen up a bit.  Not demand so much perfection out of myself.  In the past I would have thrown this cutie away....but now I am trying to be more "creative"by finding ways for "mistakes" to work. But, as I look at this picture more closely I can see that I need to tack the bow down more firmly as the glue dot is showing......... But, all in all, I am pretty pleased with the finished product ;-)

And, this is the sweet little sentiment that I stamped on the inside.  Again, a WSD stamp.  Look into their sentiments if you have time someday.  They have such a HUGE selection of fun and quirky messages that work really well with other non WSD images.

And my road trip was successful in picking up my daughter from college yesterday.  By that I mean, I picked up my daughter AND two of the cutest pair of spring/summer shoes.....isn't it fab that my new FAVORITE shoe store happens to be in the very same town that Clarice attends school.  Since she started going there in the fall I think I have managed a side trip to this store each and every time.....supporting the local economy!

I hope you all have a great day today.....it is somewhat gloomy in my town at the moment but hopefully will brighten up later.

Be well,
Sheila

Hi, my friend - I'm up early and checking in here for a big smile! Love this little girl (I see why you grabbed her) and how you colored her so cute! So sweet! Your sky is fantastic! A great start to my day. Didn't know you were a shoe-a-lolic! Glad your trip went well. I'm mentioning you on my blog today.

Hi Sheila,
Such a sweet image, and as always, you have coloured her beautifully!
Glad you were able to treat yourself with two pairs of shoes from your favourite shop.
We were wearing shorts and t-shirts last week, and today we have snow! Weird weather patterns here right now xx

With gas prices being so high you have to combine errands - it is a good thing you picked up those shoes when you picked up your daughter!! :0) Sheila your card is delightful - love the colors!

Nothing wrong with a few more shoes! Glad you got your daughter home safely. This is another little cutie from you, and I agree, loosening up is such a nice feeling but VERY HARD for control freaks like me!
