are finally coming up in Wisconsin and it is a much needed sight! We had an amazingly warm and spring like March only to see an April filled with snow showers, rain, temps in the low 30's.....ugh! But today, the first of May is sunny and promises to have temps in the mid 60's.....a delight. It will be soooo nice to go to one of my son's track meets and not have to wear mittens, a parka, hat and a scarf! Today I am going to try a challenge which I will admit is not too much of a stretch for me. It is the Cas-ual Fridays challenge of April Showers brings May Flowers and since I tend to love coloring floral images this challenge worked perfectly for me. But I will say the 'clean and simple" aspect of the card always stymies me. I think I ripped up the card base of this card no less than three times and finally gave up last night and read a book instead. But this morning I tackled it anew and actually really like the card that turned out although it is a whole mile away from what I envisioned and planned! So, hop on over to
Cas-ual Fridays and check out their challenge.....and the beautiful inspiration from their design team!
And here is my card. This is a sweet little image from Northwoods Rubber Stamp Co. I would love to have a bucket of fresh cut roses like this.....unfortunately no matter how much I love roses I have never been successful at growing them ;-(......
Thank you for stopping by today and I always appreciate your comments and suggestions!
Be well,
Sheila

Just love your beautifully coloured bucket of roses, Sheila. You're a flower girl, like me. I love to colour flowers, too.
And, just like you, I'm looking forward to some warmer weather. It's been terrible here...lots of floods and the wettest April ever recorded xx
Beautifully colored image, as always, Sheila! Glad you tried again this morning - it's a lovely card! :)
I think you definitely succeeded in making a CAS card base - the simple white embossed cs really lets your beautifully colored roses be the star of the show!! I've never tried to grow roses as I've always been told they need alot of coddling :) Enjoy your warmer weather - it's wonderful not bundling up to go outside anymore!
I like to call these, "happy accidents," Sheila! I have struggled with CAS since I began making cards, so I feel your pain! This one is outstanding! Beautiful job! XO
super cute card Sheila. Lovely colouring of your roses.
Gorgeous layering and coloring, Sheila! I love how you used the twines to tie it all together! Thanks so much for playing with us at CAS-ual Fridays!
I can see where the April showers bring May flowers... here!! Wonderful Sheila!
This image looks like fun to color, Sheila :) I've been enjoying the Copic class so far and today it starts getting into the actual coloring part so it's about to get good. Or at least marginally better ( my coloring , that is!)
Wish me luck!
Beautiful coloring, All of your cards are gorgeous! I keep up with your blog all the time, just never seem to have enough time to comment.
