Today, I have two cards to show....both using some new Hero Arts stamps that I have been itching to try as well as using a technique that was used in the first day of the card class. Basically for each of these cards I masked off the center and stamped around the mask to create some interesting dimension. In the flower card I first stamped the flower, masked it, then covered that masked with a square mask and then stamped the background. The HA stamps I used were Wish Big , You and Me , Newspaper Background Design Stamp , and the Pom Pom Flower . This is really a different style for me and I have to admit that while it was somewhat frustrating it was also fun and I do like how the two cards came out. The Wish Big card was the hardest with all the masking.....and I need to use better masking paper I think for multi-masking like this in order for the paper to not slip. But, again, it was fun and different and def something I will try again! Here are my cards!
Thank you so much for stopping by.....I will be over to visit at your "house" as I get caught up in my own life! I like my coffee with a bit of honey and cream and never refuse a biscotti when offered ;-D
Be well,
Sheila

Hi Sheila, sorry to hear that it took so long for you feel better after the stomach bug. But I'm pleased that you got some time to spend with your girls...which is good!
Both your cards are beautifully stamped and coloured. I love the gorgeous vibrancy...your flower is fabulous!:)
Sheila you have bounced back!!! Glad to hear you are feeling better each and every day. From viewing these cards I can say that the flu did not affect your mojo!
Ya know, even with this clean and simple design, I can see the "Sheila flair" in both of them! Love the wonderful colors! I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of your cards from class! So glad you're feeling better! :)
So glad you are feeling better, Sheila! Both of these cards are so pretty!
I took the class also, but wasn't able to keep up. It's nice that we can still access the classes and videos to use when we have the time.
I am happy to read you are feeling better. I totally love both cards, so pretty...and now I desperately want to have the Pom Pom flower!
FAB-U-LOUS!! Both of these are quite spectacular Sheila! Totally love the balloon card and the pink flower is just superb!
Hi Sheila! I am thrilled that you are feeling better! What a bummer hey! Loving you two cards, but you're right, that first one was a lot of work! But it turned out quite spectacular! Looking forward to seeing you back in full swing again soon! Hugs, Brenda XXX
You may be unwell and felt kind of weak..., BUT you sure earn yourself an A plus for these two gorgeous cards from the CAS class!! Love them, Sheila!!
I've been waiting for you to post - I felt so bad for you! SO happy to see you back and blogging! I LOVE how you put your own touch on these cards! I have to catch up too, and this class I really needed!! HUGS!!
Hoping you'll be the picture of energetic health in no time! I'm loving your sketch cards, each one so clever and creative they make me smile! I took the CAS class too and haven't had time to play yet. You are giving me some excellent inspiration though...these cards are begging to be CASED.
Super glad to hear you are back in action again! Love both of your happy cards! The bright pink flower really makes me smile!
Poor you Sheila. Had noticed you missing in action.... but glad to see these two cards. Both are stunning, I particularly like the flower one.
The dog did NOT eat your homework - you really learned your lessons in the class. So glad to finally have you back - missed ya! Continue to take care and recover. Love these cards.
